Great is the Lord and is greatly to be praised. ASH Wednesday was amazing and the word of God was rich and thought-provoking. Black History month was interesting and we give God praise for ALL the great accomplishments our fore parents and ancestors contributed to such a rich history. Minister Wallace and I also want to thank the members for their input and the gifts offered during the month.
As we move forward into this great year, we anticipate with the expectation the overwhelming presence of Jesus Christ our Lord as we celebrate the LENT season. Commemorating Jesus Christ journey to the Cross of Calvary is a reminder of his great sacrifice FULL of love and compassion for ALL HUMANITY!
John 3:16-18 (NIV) states “for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. REMEMBER “SO!”
We must learn how to live loved. Apart from God, “the heart is deceitful above all things” (Jeremiah 17:9 NIV). Humanity needs help from an outside source that operates within. A transfusion is called in the natural, a circumcision stated in the word of God. Individuals must know that they are loved before they can demonstrate love to others. Jesus showed us how to do this at the cross; while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
For this, we are thankful and appreciative that God’s response to us is not predicated on who we are and what we have done in the past, and present nor the mistakes we are prone to make in the future.
God doesn’t love us because of our goodness. God doesn’t love us because of our kindness. God doesn’t love us because of our faith. God loves us because of HIS GOODNESS, KINDNESS, AND FAITH.
